Standards in the pharmaceutical and disease management industries are high — they must be.

Proper terminology, accurate content, and credible sources are paramount in improving the lives of health care consumers. But proper use of the semicolon, style guides, and grammar are all paramount, too. If health care consumers can’t understand it, they can’t adhere to it.

As a medical editor, I balance respect for the content with regard for the health care consumer; together, we can save lives.
